WOW: Christmas Sparkle Tags

Hi Everyone Jo here and welcome to to today's fun tag creations playing with the fabulous Sparkle collection from WOW. With Christmas coming up my family loves to give gifts to the people that have touch our lives in so many ways.  I had so much fun playing with this glitter collection.

To make these tags I have used the MFT tag builder blueprints 2 die set. Die cut using the Christmas Tree & Candy Cane dies in the center of each tags. Place a wide red line double sided tape and behind each die cut shape. From the front I sprinkled and burnished with my fingers the glitter collection. This die cut also has tag toppers to add an extra layer and element to tags.

TIP: Place a scrap piece of paper behind each time you do the glitters to capture the left overs to funnel back in the jars.

My cardstock of choice is  Kraft & thick white card bases. To add a bit of pattern I have also used the MFT Birthday Blowout 6 x 6 Paper Pack.

For the sentiments I chose from the Wplus9 Hand Lettered Holiday& Lawn Fawn Cheery Christmas stampsets and stamped on strips of white & Kraft cardstock and kept if rather simple.

To finish these all off I have resurfaced some of my ribbon collection from my hoard vault all which have a Christmas colour feel to them.

I have created a You Tube video on how I made these fun tag collection.

Hope you enjoyed today's creations and would love to see your comments over in You Tube :)

Christmas Card

Hello this is Laurence (laury55) today with a Christmas card. We still have some time until Christmas but we are all very busy in December and preparing your cards in advance will reduce your stress later. My Christmas card is quite simple and may be easily duplicated

1) I covered a scrap of paper with WOW metallic gold powder, heat embossed and used dies for the letters.

2) I cut 2 triangles for the trees, the second one is covered with adhesive. I applied WOW Oceanic Embossing on the first one and WOW Santorini sparkles on the second one.

3) I stamped directly on my background paper and heat embossed with WOW gold rich sparkle powder.

Thank you for your visit. I hope you will join our current challenge.

Merry Christmas - Watercolour Card by Susanne

Hi my dear crafty friends!

I have a Christmas card with you to share! It's never too early to start, so you don't have to hurry in December. This card is really easy to recreate and it can be made with nearly every kind of stamp for any occasion.

I started by stamping a pattern with one of the leaves from the "Flights of Fancy" stamp set. I embossed it with Gold Rich Powder. I did the same to a piece of vellum.

I coloured some of the leaves with my Gansai Tambi watercolours. But any kind of watercolour will work for this resist technique.

I cut a "Merry Christmas" from cardstock which was covered with double sided tape. This is an easy way to foil your die cuts! Just expose the sticky side and press the foil onto it. Rub it gently with your fingers. I used WOW! Fab Foil Gold.

Finally I build up my card. I cut the background with a stitched frame die, added some gold splatters (Aztec Metallics from ColourCraft) and adhered it to the card base. The vellum is cut down to a nice size to blend the sentiment banner with the background. To let the "Merry Christmas" pop out even more, I layered it on top a black die cut. I added some wooden stars for a little more interest.

Thank you for stopping by today!
Have a nice and crafty week.
xx Susanne.

When it comes to Christmas cards I'm always the last one scrabbling around in my studio quickly making, I do this every year, why do I do this, I have no idea, it's not like they change the date each year !!!

Anyhoo's to me and for the above reason, Christmas cards have to be quick, simple and effective. So here's my QS&E Christmas Card. This is a card design I've done for years, it never fails and it's so easy !!
I've used two different stamp sets, one that's nothing to do with Christmas, but it just goes to show that with a little Sparkle we can turn a Starburst into a snowflake !!! Did you see what i did there… the stamps is called Starburst LOL !!!

I cut my base card and folded it tent wise, then cut two more pieces of card .5cm smaller than the base and then again .5cms smaller than the other.

Stamp and emboss the 'Merry & Bright' from the Thankful stamp set, I used Mint Macaroon (one of my fav's) I then stamped and embossed three small starbursts from the Starburst stamp set, again embossing in Mint Macaroon.
Using the middle piece of card go around all the edges with the ink pad and cover in Mint Macaroon, heat set. this will give you a perfectly matching border. This can be mounted to the base card.

Using a quickie glue pen dot the centre of the Starburst and draw lines out from it, I also added little dots around the Starbursts then sprinkled with A Girl's Best Friend Sparkles. Mount onto the base card. After doing this I decided I wanted the 'dot' in the centre to be bigger so I used Glossy Accents and sprinkled with the Sparkles.

There you have it, Quick, Simple and Effective !!! Now to make another 40 :) :)
I can't wait to see what you and the DT come up with.

Welcome Emma ….

Hi Guys,

How lucky are we to have the very lovely and talented Emma Godfrey share her take on Triple Embossing !!!
Enjoy, and don't forget you have one more day to enter the Challenge for this month…

Don’t go breaking my heart

Hi everyone. Emma here with an idea for cards using the triple embossing technique.

I stamped the dotty heart stamp (from the Layered Hearts stamp set) three times onto a playing card. (I like the fact that with the plastic coating, playing cards are slightly tougher for this technique). It doesn’t need to be perfect - I just wanted the rough shape. Cut them out and wipe off any ink that hasn’t dried.

Triple emboss each heart using WOW Fluorescent Blue Regular embossing powder. Whilst the top layer is still hot stamp the dotty heart into each one.

Press the stamped hearts onto the WOW embossing ink pad and then apply Ranger Perfect Pearls powder in Bronze with a brush. Buff off any excess.

Apply PVA glue to some of the dots on the hearts and sprinkle them with WOW Sparkles in Celebration. When they’re dry, brush off any excess.

Cut a mat slightly smaller than your card blank, and run it through an embossing folder. Distress the mat by rubbing over lightly with a brown ink pad. Apply PVA glue around each of the mat edges, and dip them into the same WOW Sparkles.

Stamp LOVE (from Mr Wow’s Wonderful Words stamp set) with the brown ink pad on to a piece of spare card. Trim and then stick everything together.

Voila. I hope you like the cards ... I was originally going to use all three hearts on one large card, but I think they work nicely as the focal point on the mini cards instead. This design could easily be transformed into Christmas cards ... what do you think?

A Touch of Autumn

Hello crafty friends, how are we all? There have been some amazing projects for the triple embossing challenge this month and now it’s my turn. The textures you can achieve with this technique reminded me of cracked and dry autumn leaves so I decided to make a mini wreath.

I started by applying and then melting two layers of Oasis and one layer of Oceanic powder to white cardstock. I then re-melted a small area, pushed one of the Flights of Fancy Stamps into the molten powder then removed after a few seconds. I then cut out the leaf then repeated the process over the rest of the cardstock.

I created more leaves using a different leaf stamp pressed into three layers of Perissa Powder then shaped each leaf with my fingers. I then die-cut leaves from orange cardstock and applied then melted three layers of Clear Gloss powder. Once they were cool I bent them to crack the layers. I attached all the leaves to a circular frame die-cut from Kraft card.

I used the Big Words Stamp and Bark powder to create a sentiment which I layered on orange cardstock then attached on the right-hand side. I then applied and melted two layers of Golden Flame then a layer of Unicorn Magic Powder to white cardstock then punched out small flowers from it.

I shaped the flowers with my fingers then dotted around the wreath and added gems in the centres for an extra touch of sparkle.

I hope you like it,

Triple Embossing:

Hello paper crafting peeps Jo here and welcome to today's card creation  demonstrating the triple embossing technique. I have created these leaves impressions with the gold & rose gold embossing  powders stamping with the Flights of Fancy set.

TIP: This technique is a great way for creating your own embellishments.

Tipple embossing technique -
Step 1. Place the ink pad directly on the cardstock and generously apply the embossing poweder on the ink.
Step 2. Heat emboss with the heat gun.
Step 3. Repeat steps 1 & 2 3 times over and place the heat gun over the 3rd time round a little extra longer until it turns molten. You will see the difference as the powder almost looks molten or  liquidy.

TIP: Make sure your stamp is already mounted and ready to stamp for Step 4.

Step 4. Working quickly place the stamp while the embossing powder is still molten over the top applying a heavy pressure. Count to 10 and slowly lift off the stamp leaving behind the impression.

For the card base I have used a stencil and embossing past on a white matted card front to add a added texture to the card.

TIP: White on white has a nice subtle effect without taking away the main focal image on your card.

Using the Mr WOW Wonderful Words I have stamped with black archival ink the 'best' sentiment to co-ordinate with the wishes die.

To finish the card off I have dded some clear sequins adding a little bit of bling to the card.

Hope you enjoys today's card tutorial and you tube. Don't forget to subscribe and comment.
